I’ve been coming to Aroma Bistro for a few years now, and it’s still my favorite restaurant in Winnipeg. The food is consistently so good!!! The best part is that for the quality you’re getting, the prices are reasonable. It’s one of those places where you walk out full and happy without breaking the bank. Over the years, I’ve brought my partner, my whole family, friends, even my coworkers, many of them are from outside of the city, but they do make the trip just to eat there. Whenever I have family or friends visiting from other provinces, this is one of the first places I take them. They always say it’s like nothing they’ve had before. Some of them are from bigger cities and still wish they had a spot like this back home.

I had tried to go to that restaurant before but it was full. So I would definitely recommend to book a table ahead of time. Service was very nice. We got the lala chicken, the chili oil wontons and the crispy pork soup with rice noodles. Food was delicious, especially the lala chicken. It was a bit salty though, although I’m sure it’s a matter of preference. I really enjoyed it, but my boyfriend did a little less. Overall, I would for sure recommend if you enjoy Asian food.

Stopped in at the new Forks location on their grand opening day, and holy moly am I ever glad I did!!! The service was awesome, despite the fact that they were so incredibly busy. The food was fresh, and absolutely delicious - literally the best meal I've had in a very long time. It was ready so fast and was piping hot. I'd give 10 stars if I could! Pictured is the spicy peanut noodles with crispy chicken and the chili oil wontons which are a MUST TRY!!

Small location but will definitely be upgrading in the near future I’m sure of it from the people who will be flocking for the food. I’ve been looking for a place that has authentic soup dumplings and although they don’t offer soup dumpling specifically, the wontons were so soft and came in this lovely black ginger sauce. They were gone so fast I didn’t even get a picture. The Spicey snow beef udon was exceptionally well done and the spice level was considerably low. I’d say 2/5 for people who can’t tolerate a high spice scale, making it buildable to your taste. This hidden gem is in my top 3 spots for soup stops.

A New Favourite: Aroma Bistro on St. Mary's Road - Asian Fusion. I love dumplings and they don't seem as popular in Canada as they are in NZ and Australia. We reserved a table. I believe there are 6 tables of 4, so quite small. Staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous, as well ensured on allergies. First dish, we were eating it before I remembered to take a picture. Aroma LaLa Chicken. This came to us hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered this for him as an appetizer, and I took a few pieces. Over half has been eaten in picture. 10/10 My husband's main - Black Vinegar Ginger Wontons (dumplings to me). He had the 9 pc and he said it was absolutely delicious. He only ate 7 at the restaurant, and kept the other two for a snack later. Refreshing was his word. My main - Peanut Wonton with Red Chili Oil - 18 pc. I brought almost half home, but this was my intention. The wontons were so filled and juicy. The sauce woke up my mouth with peanuts, peanut sauce, chili oil. It was exactly what I have been wanting. Fantastic and friendly service. Courteous and everything was served hot and timely cleaned. Price - extremely reasonable for the amount of food and filling in the wontons. This is definitely a new favourite restaurant for me and a go-to lunch or take-home option as well.

If I could give a better review than a “5” I would! It’s definitely one of my top restaurants to go to cuz I know I will not be disappointed. Was a hidden gem for the longest time but now quite busy. Reserve ahead if you can. The layering of flavours is fantastic. I recommend every dish!!! Oh and the price can’t be beat for the portion size and fabulous taste! Photos are from my last visit. Staff is so friendly and service prompt.
